The candidate filing period for the 2026 election ended on Monday. It’s an important deadline because last week, the US Supreme Court upheld the Big, Beautiful Map passed by Texas Legislature in a special session this year. This new map sets the stage for a new era in federal leadership for Texas—one that truly reflects the Republican strength across our great state.
I was honored to work and to vote with my fellow Republicans to pass the legislation making the new maps possible. I am thankful for all who valiantly defended the maps in court in the effort to secure a bright new future. Texas and the USA win when Republicans work together.
